Against my own rules, I'm here on my phone.

But it's my vacation trip and I do what i want :DDdD

I ended up leaving around 18:30.

Walked bit over 8km. My gps trace is squigly as all hell. I would have been so lost without my phone.

Should have packed more water. I'm hydrated and all but there isn't much water left. For another similar evening maybe. I got those tablets and cheap filter straw as backups. I've boiled some of the lake water but it's already looking like piss.

The biggest mistske thus far was not realising things stay wet after rain. What too many years in the city does to a person...

I was completely drenched after 2 hours of walking. Especially my boots.

Luckily it hasn't been too cold so being wet hasn't been miserable or dangerous.

I hope my gear is dry by tomorrow tho.

Tomorrows forecast says it's gonna rain the whole day so I guess I'll put on the rubber boots from the get go and have rain poncho at the ready.

I think I'm gonna walk to lempäälä or valkeakoski and hop on a train or bus back home.

This nights lodging is better thani could have imagined. Alsmot a full ass cabin. This sort of two lean to shelters against each other and fire place in the middle. I even managed to get my hammock steup in here. I should have decent sleep.

@jonossaseuraava I know where that is! Just say "hep" (and ping me here) if you'll really need more water.

Of course the scout elf knows where I am based on few smudgy photos.... I was wondering how tinfoily I should be about posting my current location.

Thanks. I got like bit under 2l of tap water and then some of the boiled lake water. I think i should be good until the next city. Which ever it ends out being.

@jonossaseuraava then what harm is it to make the ground little bit more wet where you are

@poni
No harm in that.

But having to leave the cozy warm hammock is no fun.

Feet will get wet and slightly cold. I'll also have to clean them before getting back into the hammock

@jonossaseuraava Anyway, if things get Petter just let me know. I'm on vacation and will find you in about 30-45 minutes with fresh, clean water.

Right next to my fire and inside the cabin thing?

Yeah, nah.

Even if that worked out somehow without half of the hammock also covered in pee.

Oh right! I don't _have to_ walk to the next city! I could just walk the path back kinda towards home to it's official starting point. As much a as circle has starting point. The closest car park to me. Considering the weather forecasts, that's provably reasonable.

Shoes are srill drenched. Rest of the gear is dry and i have backup shos with me.

Immediate misery averted.

I got wolen up ny city employee doing maintenance on the olace. I got reslly acared because it sounded like they opened the door to the hut. I'm not sure if they did or if that was the squeaky outhouse door.

Sleep was okayish. I slept in like 2-3h bits and was slightly cold from time to time. Having the fire place right next to me was a luxury. Next time I'll just pack my sleeping bag unless it's really warm.

It's raining a bit. I think I'll walk home.

To top it all off, when I finally got to go to the out house. I hear somebody running towards it in no time. It was some geezer in better shape than I've even been on his daily jog. Sounded like 20+km route he is running. What I'm most amazed by is his willingness to do smalltalk despite literally running for the bathroom minutes before.
