@tisanae my guess is the walls absorb a lot of heat because well, thick old stone walls

@tisanae once the walls are warm them storing so much heat becomes a benefit

u just gotta reach that point

@tisanae they're losing heat to the outside faster than we can create heat inside

@coolbean i still think this might be doable by overheating for while (if you don't live in a castle gnomeFuck )

@tisanae i feel it worth noting that we heat with wood/coal. i have to manually put wood and coal into the fireplace to keep it hot and keep it going. its not practical to run it for more than a few hours at a time and frankly running it hot is harmful for our fireplace and chimney

@tisanae also as a matter of fact a small remnant of the old town wall remains in and forms the back edge of our backyard and the german government has no records of our house being built meaning its gotta AT LEAST predate the kingdom of bavaria joining the broader german empire in 1870 likely much more since i highly doubt that bavarian records werent integrated

@tisanae no ive checked all the dungeons and caves and there were precisely 0 vampires besides myself

bloodsuckers tend to prefer their castles intact

@coolbean @tisanae wdym this year? It shouldn't take more than a day of running the stove, if they ate that much enwrgy you would never be able to keep them warm over the winter i'd say
