purple@nya.social@kaia@brotka.st ok so i once got sniped by a bartender in Sydney by him offering a Scotch tasting since i was from Kentucky (home of bourbon whiskey).
and yeah you nailed it. but that's most any "tasting". you start with the least intense and work your way up. Scotch is famous for its peat but the others notable for their aging process. whiskey aged in hot and dry places taste totally different from whiskey aged in milder climates, given the same mash bill.

@kaia you impress men, by buying a cheap blended whisky, putting it in a fancy different bottle and serve it in lowball glasses with ice, and then you come up with a flavor note and why that's your favorite

@kaia my friends do this thing called "vodka tasting". we get the house vodka and then we taste it, remark how beluga is better, and then get hammered
