i think the steam frame will finally push me over the edge to get a VR headset. it's so much better than the quest and its associated meta store tomfoolery

@snacks the openness aspect is what i really couldn't stand. the upfront meta subsidy isn't worth the perpetual renting of a license to use it to me. but yes, on a hardware level it's great, and the frame has extra awesome add-ons to make it just a bit better as well

@gamer @zonk this is one of those times if corpos could just stop trying to make everyone data cattle they could make note money 
the quest hardware is generally liked but Facebook trips over itself and loses the sale
I've rarely seen someone use them and give a reason other than the data cattle jail or eye strain as why they dumped it
