gopher was nice too wasn't it or maybe text-based browsers are back soon because what are we going to use if #mozilla continues this silliness I want the creative fun web back where we build cool stuff out of almost nothing and "content"was supposed to be king
@sushee Wasn't Firefox open source, and therefore forkable? Isn't that precisely what safeguards open source projects from the original author turning evil?
Or did they manage to make this project so convoluted and complex, that they pretty much have a monopoly on its development, despite the sources being available?
Oh, right, and there are all those cryptographic keys that you need to make a working browser these days, that they don't make public...

@deshipu @janl @sushee Yes they use they same rhetoric in their own marketing, but the difference between Brave and Librewolf is quite severe.
Librewolf is a non-profit community project and actually cares about the things they say.
Brave is made by a for-profit company that will say anything if it gets you to try their product and make money.
