Alsp, after further research it seem that channel mixing isn't really a feature of expresslrs. It just so happens that expresslrs requires advanced enough software (lua interpreter at least) that everyone decided to include it in their firmware outside of radiomaster in this one remote

They actually use mainline expresslrs, not their own rewrite as i assumed too. The version of the flashing tool they link on their website was just outdated (or did i get the link from betafpv? Not sure).
I bought another radiomaster control and as far as i can tell that thing should support everything one could want since it runs fully open firmware for everything, not just the radio protocol stack

Still mad at them, but the best offering i could find and they seem to be actually supportive of and involved with open firmware
