@kirby I think they're justified in this case, that's a tantalizing amount of cash that would have maybe actually done some good but instead evaporated into the ether
generally $1k is life changing for people really under water, so that could have helped 425 people there which is 424 more than it's doing now
for more financial responsibility, that pile of cash is sufficient to start seeing meaningful returns on ETFs, in the neighborhood of tens of thousands a year, which could be extracted for recurring assistance
don't get me wrong those mutual aid grifters piss me off but this money could have done so much more
