kinda wanna learn how to make lcd segmented displays just so i can make a clock derived from the hp41 characters

@coolbean sounds easy enough. You could prob just order a pcb and paint on the traces, or even use some conductive ink for traces for complete diy. Isse with lcd is that the traces have to be really thin and on glass to let light through

@coolbean don't see how that matters, you can make them like 7 or however many segment displays. But i dodn't know you wanted to make something for a pocket calculator, flip segments take a bunch of depth and making them small sounds insanely finnicky

@coolbean usually it's flip dots but you can make the individual parts whatever format you want
