I'm apparently too stupid to get wpa_supplicant to work in the Alpine live image and I'm already bored, I'll actually just stay on Guix, syke.

@chjara yea and then after i dealt w that by magwiring an ethernet setup and installing iwd i couldnt run steam on alpine, it seems great but not for the faint of heart. thats why i am stood on voidlinux, works well, doesnt require a degree in tech magic so its good

Tried using
setup-interfaces?

@rosey Tried through setup-alpine, mistyped the network name, fiddled around for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to stop and start wpa_supplicant and udhcpc properly, then gave up because I decided I don't want to distrohop after all.

@chjara i couldn't get wpa_supplicant to work on alpine either lmao. I always assumed it was some issue with openrc but never tried if i'd have the same issue with another openrc distro
