why the FUCK did you use mongo? with all the spurious articles you 100% believe to be completely true and valid, it seems like you would have run across one of the hundreds saying, in big capital boldface red letters DO NOT USE MONGODB FOR ANYTHING IT IS NOT FIT FOR ANY TASK

@bajax MongoDB is under a proprietary license, so it should not be used, considering plenty of free software databases that are functionally superior too.

@phnt @bajax it's also the case that they've cleaned up their nonsense quite a bit since, not that the people who would ever pick mongo should ever be allowed to pick mongo nonetheless

@i @phnt there's no good tooling for it and it's COMPLETELY wrong for our requirements. they only chose it because its native syntax is json, and they use javascript. fucking retarded.

@i @bajax It's the same with Postgres where there are still devs that refuse to pick it and force Maria/MySQL onto everyone, because they are mentally stuck in pre-1X days where you couldn't even upgrade between minor releases without pg_upgrade.

@hakui @phnt @bajax

Depending on organization policy, you can register any totp authenticator to yor ms account, then you need to click a 'use code instead' link when the authenticator card pops up.

@picofarad @i @phnt mostly the same thing but yeah bson allows some extra syntax ie for query operators but it's very much based on json

@bajax @i @phnt thanks, that reminded me i've used mongo to load password dumps and that's about it. it was faster than grep, technically, for searching for substrings in datasets that don't fit in ram. technically.
