As someone who knows fuckall, my bet is python even though I think it's a landslide far from either.

@ielenia@ck.catwithaclari.net
From what I understand it's robust and prevents memory related problems.

@snacks oh ok
sounds like I’d have zero motivation to actually use it then

@raccoon @ielenia at least java is statically typed, precompiled, doesn't use indentation as synatx etc

@ielenia id say more like java but like . only bc its statically typed

its fun because you can encode lots of semantics within the type system . rust enums are definitely super cool , and pattern matching os far superior than pythons

id say go through the book and give it a shot ?

@nyanide @ielenia oh ive never actually tried that . but yea that seems hard

also , im kinda bummed that it kinda isnt that well suited for scientific computation ,, or maybe its just a skill issue , idk

but its lots of fun to write servers and clis in it !!!

@ielenia i HIGHLY suggest installing rust-analyzer if your editor supports lsp ^^ its one of the coolest things abt rust imo ., and makes learning new stuff and the standard library so much more accessible
