The train came too late and I have to wait an hour for the next one. I'll just use their 30 minutes of free WiFi and a MAC spoofer

@igeljaeger to me, it looks like it mashed together the old interface with parts of the interface of gog galaxy 2.0

The BioShock series is definitely good and I'd recommend it to everyone who asks me but I wouldn't go so far and annoy everyone until they play it.

BioShock Infinite is a good game to start. Its controls can be weird at times but nothing too major (it just feels better to click the right mouse button to change between the pewpews and your zappy hand).
You will understand everything of the story without any issues because Infinite has a completely separate story from the previous entries (you're not in Rapture tho.
If you prefer an underwater setting, then you should choose either BioShock 1 or 2).
Also, in Infinite you get a side kick. She gets ammo, vinegar (stuff for your zappy hands) and coins for you, picks locks, etc.
In Infinite, you'll get revived directly where you died but have only a part of your health restored, whereas in BioShock 1 you have set "respawn chambers" but you'll be revived with full health

In the end it comes down to personal taste and which setting, respawn behaviour, etc. you prefer

maybe something that could be considered a spoiler

In BioShock 1 on the other hand, most of the interesting places are either well enough lit or outside (where it's always bright enough because of lights or the lit advertisement signs)

I know but I think they could have brought over the message of Columbia being a (if not THE) Paradise without as much bloom as they did IMO (that's the message that stuck with me after about 1-2 years after my playthrough. Maybe they wanted to tell me more but that's what I remember).
It's just that "pre-apocalypse" Columbia is such a beautiful and fascinating world to look at and it's easy to see that it went a lot of care and attention in it's design but the bloom was so high at times that the only thing I was able to see was a white mash of outlines (maybe the last bit was a bit overexaggerated but you get my point)

I actually prefer the darker color palette of Bioshock 1 over the brighter one of Bioshock Infinite. The bloom of Infinite looks a bit over-the-top at times
