Honestly, everyone should use what they are most comfortable with and alternatives should be recommended in a friendly manner.
Elitism about what software someone is using doesn't help anyone and alienates more people than it convinces them to switch (also there's a group of people, like you, who want to switch but can't)

It's not the best but I'd use it over the Creation Club any day (downloading texture packs for FO4VR with an 1MB/s cap from Nexus is a great experience)
