Also do malware sites predominantly serve correct files and only malware skme specific high volume ones?
I verfied some files from the site to be exactly the same as legit ones
And said friend used it before without issue

Not really sure about windows malware here
Friend downloaded some shitty virus and got passwoed change requests for several of his accounts, was it a keylogger (how are these still a thing) or sniffing login tokens from cookies.
Also apparently chrome passwords are completely unencrypted :/
He reset his pc but did the settings one without an install disk so what is the chance of him giving administrator to some spoofed bjnary privileges and installing some persistent malware?

Microsoft can't even dispute it; even if they say windows source code wasn't included...
They could always mention how they used code without permission and also maybe that it was leaked somewhere in the dataset.
