@bunni honestly I think a war within europe is unlikely, it would cause a WW1-like chain of chaos and everybody knows that

@bunni tbh hong kong was just a matter of time. they were never independent, 1/3 of their government of send from beijing, 1/3 was business representatives (china invested in hong kong to get these votes as well), so nothing really changed. taiwan would be different. (not saying a taiwan invasion is impossible, but a different story than hong kong entirely).

@bunni well the whole point of the uk handing over hong kong was so hong kong would become a part of china. the special treatment was just meant to be for the transition.
taiwan also insists they're a part of china. in fact they still claim to rule over the entire territory, like beijing does.
