Was forced to leave my car behind in Switzerland last weekend after a crash.

Just got off the phone with my insurance after a long email thread where I had to give them receipts of all my aftermarket mods and listings of similar cars on online maeketplaces to estimate the value of my car.

And I got good news. I just got confirmation that they are willing to transport my car back to the Netherlands where I can start repairing the damage. miata_pat

Making a list of all my aftermarket modifications and gathering the receipts for them was also kind of confrontational.

Apparently I had spent over 3k euro on car modifications in the past 7 years 🔧

@SuperDicq that doesn't sound crazy if tinkering with your car is a hobby

@psnacks Especially considering this is just the price of the parts, excluding shipping cost, tax, tools, consumables, rent for the workshop.

@meowski Nope, stock engine. All of the money went into handling.

@pesekcuy I’m sorry but as I said I recently crashed the car so before thinking about any more mods I’m first going to actually do the crash repair first?
