Trying to use electric stove and I can’t figure it out at all, the buttons aren’t even real, how the hell does this thing work

@pi55d yeah it’s plugged in, and has some weird unresponsive touch screen, I put the square up to “5”, whatever that means, and the circle under the pan lights up red and then just clicks and goes off.

@arcana @pi55d it goes on and off, setting just determines how long it stays on. Red light is from heat

@psnacks @pi55d so 5 is like 5 seconds? What good is that? I have to push the + symbol 1200 times if I want it to stay on for 20 minutes?

@arcana @pi55d no, it stays on a bit, turns off a bit and then goes on again, rinse and repeat. Setting determines the length of the on time proportional to off, it's like really slow pwm control.

@psnacks @pi55d I see, so it’s meant to do that? Alright, well at least we know it works, really don’t see why people wouldn’t just use a gas stove

@arcana @pi55d because their house doesn't have gas or they use induction which is more similar to gas stoves
