@lucy@netzsphaere.xyz you can subscribe to block/mute or labeling lists. eg there's one that auto blocks everyone with and related tags in name or bio

@anemone i mean instances already do subscribe to other people's blocklists lol

@lucy@netzsphaere.xyz it's on the instance level not the account level though, which sucks. it should be up to the individual user

@anemone maybe. i never really felt the need to block someone other than spam bots and those occur rarely. or muting tomato.

@lucy@netzsphaere.xyz there's obnoxious users from poa.st, and other instances that it'd be nice to have a blocklist of instead of blocking the entire instance

@lucy @anemone i found that blocking specific individuals isn’t even a good approach

i’d like to have more flexible rules, like hiding threads that mention specific users together and match word filters in addition

in terms of implementation, that’d be a good use case for logic programming

@lucy@netzsphaere.xyz just replies. anyway another nice feature of Bluesky is you can see what lists you're on and appeal, instead of just being silently shadow banned like mastodon's do

@lucy @anemone logic programming is really cool here also because of how rules can be combined and sets excluded
