Okay I guess I beat 4 games this year, thanks Steam for helping me remember them:

  • Pentiment - Absolute kinography. The author truly, deeply understood Christianity in amazing detail. Great characters. Fun amogus gameplay.
  • AVGN Adventures Deluxe - This was great. I love AVGN anyway. Pretty challenging games, but nothing if you’ve ever beaten a NES Megaman game. The music is the best part of the game.
  • The Forgotten City - Honestly my favourite walking simulator ever. There’s more to it than that anyway. Far far superior to the original Skyrim mod. As a former Roman re-enactor I really appreciated the historical autism.
  • Orbo’s Odyssey - This was a really fun little platformer. It’s only about 3 hours long but the movement options are very creative and do a good job deviating from the Mario 64 base that has codified 3D platforming since forever. Audaciously, the game damands you 100% it to clear it at all.

That’s a pathetic count. There’s no way I’ll beat Tales of Arise before the new year. Oh well, I’ll have to be less of a casual next year.
