Today I learned that Squaresoft were LITERALLY going to name the final boss of Xenogears "Yahweh" until the American branch convinced them not to because they didn't want to draw the ire of Christian groups.
In the English release the final boss is called "Deus" but in Japanese it's actually a pun: "Yabeh" as in "yabe" ("dangerous") lol.
