it's disappointing that every possible next German chancellor is a mediocre asshole. if I had a choice, I'd at least prefer a assholier asshole, one of Trump's stature. but no, we don't even get a Vance level of asshole. we can only pick from Senator Cruz level of assholes.

@kaia been cooking on the idea of an ironically totalitarian party on the ballot, kinda like the Ottawa JREG major campaign. That would be funny and adequate for the politics fatigue in the west atm
