@earthling @Flanker 1 million percent. there are people who cannot be considered adults by any metric other than age having plenty of irresponsible sex. you don't magically grow a brain at 18, and it's just a legal approximation because not having a number would make life a infinitely harder for the judicial system

@earthling @Flanker also just in general our society places so much expectation around having sex, being sexual a certain way. even the relatively emancipated gays treat it as the golden standard to assess sexuality. it just isn't the be all and end all that people treat it as

@earthling @Flanker immaturity tends to correlate pretty well with poor impulse control, so that checks out. i stopped caring about the opinion of people like that when i turned like 14 lol
