@lucy currently it probably sucks more than usual to get hired in programming, since all companies defer hiring until after the smoke clears. but maybe applying to arms company works.

@lucy probably yeah. also whether you can pass background check. you have to name a number of people they interview and collect intel on you. very good career though if you have no abstract moral scruples about it I think.

@kaia a former employer, an arms company, did virtually no background checks on me so ig smaller ones care less about that at least shrug

@silhouette @kaia @lucy yeah like I may joke about the german feds being McKKKarthyites but a person I know passed SüP1 while being an open card-carrying member of Rote Hilfe (which is categorized as "suspected enemies of the constitution"). The feds are mostly chill if you don't throw molotovs around or live in Bavaria
