> because Christians believe souls and morality are disconnected from bodies and reality, GWB could not confront that issue and instead passed the Patriot Act.

The man whose father was the first CIA president and that had no meaningful policy differences with the previous "break as many teeth as possible while cramming NAFTA down their throats" administration didn't pass the USAPATRIOT Act because he was unwilling to view the world as material: it's just the shit that Clinton didn't have the political capital to pass after the Clipper Chip failed. The point was the surveillance: 9/11 provided an excuse, not an impetus.

@TheMadPirate @amerika Well, "was there some kind of conspiracy to make or let it happen" is a completely separate issue and will remain difficult to prove in a convincing way long past our lifetimes.

That it was exploited for political ends is essentially uncontestable; conflating the exploitation of it with the possibility that it was allowed to happen makes it completely goddamn impossible to talk about its exploitation, because people start arguing whether it was allowed to happen or not.

You want to talk conspiracy shit, it's over in this thread: https://fsebugoutzone.org/notice/AuXs8fIzStbMRCsG0G

We should start with the most basic:

Equality is kleptocracy.

Once you realize that narcissists manipulate you with #APE (altruism, pacifism, empathy) you are farther than most in this world.

One thing to keep in mind: lots of stuff gets reported to the law enforcers all the time, and they have to decide what to act on, and sometimes they guess wrong.

Also prevailing theory at the time was based upon a hijacker model, not a hijack planes to fly them into buildings model, so they rejected anything that did not fit that thesis.

Diversity made surveillance inevitable, but governments always seek to solidify their position.

Some of this is understandable, since it sucks to get thrown out of power because someone snuck one past you.

@Simpadoo @p

Christianity is incoherent, since most of it was borrowed from nearby religions and philosophies.

However, whether it is a heresy or not (according to whom, in a decentralized religion of ten thousand sects), most Christians see the equality of souls in Heaven as more important than the division of souls on Earth.

That is contradicted by reality.

@Simpadoo @amerika Well, I think I'm qualified to discuss doctrine but I don't have a dog in the fight. I will say that @amerika probably doesn't mind heresy and that most presidents (Clintons, Bushes, Obama, etc.; Biden was Catholic, I don't know what Trump is, like "vaguely Christian enough for marketing purposes") have been Methodist, so read "Methodists" for "Christians" in there.

@amerika @p Oh but you should, if you want to discuss items and not look like an uninformed actor.

What do you think this means? “ Credo in Spiritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclesiam Catholicam, sanctorum communionem, remissionem peccatorum, carnis resurrectionem, vitam aeternam. Amen.”

This was from the beginning of Christianity. Clearly they didn’t believe the soul and the body were separate.

It’s why I say that you should try knowing about something before uttering and opinion.

@p @amerika I would call Biden an apostate as his positions clearly demonstrate his aversion to Christianity as a whole. It is a problem that the clergy in the Church, which very very few exceptions don’t have the Charity to refuse Holy Communion to politicians at odds with the Faith they claim to profess.

I don’t see that changing anytime soon as it seems we are headed to a reckoning that we’ve heartily earned.

The end result was the same. USAPATRIOT Act was passed with a sounding clap from the citizenship ( "that's how democracies die, with a standing ovation" ). But yeah, if it haden't been the WTC, they would have find another event as excuse to gain the constituent approval to pass it.

The thing about Obama is he was obviously being run by someone else. He comes from nothing and suddenly becomes the president, I guess you can blame him for being an actor, but these type of people are a dime a dozen... You going to put equal blame on AOC for example?

Lincoln and Wilson are arguably the same kind of thing, essentially ventriloquist's dummies.

Bush is a dynastic family which obviously had a lot of sway over how policy would actually be made, so I blame them quite a bit more.

I do not think it "is" the Jews.

I see very little unity among Jews, since half of them are pro-Palestine.

I think lots of groups are fighting for their own interests and dominance over others.

But we are in the midst of a peasant revolt.

The peasants want equality.

They will sacrifice anything and everything for that.

To be fair, Iraq has been trying since the 1970s and the IDF has been bombing them for most of that time.

To be fair, the USS Liberty was intercepting Israeli communications. It was an LBJ problem (and I forgot to stick him on my list of bad presidents, although probably plaes in comparison to the Roosevelts, Clintons, Bushes, etc)

@pernia @amerika @p I've seen similar cases like that, Like a famous conservative radio talkshow host dismissing the Kennedy files release as a "nothing burger" because it doesn't reveal the "deep state" as the ones who killed him, when in fact, the files reveal it was the Mossad all along. Ironically, it claims the Epstein Files will be the same, when we all realize Epstein inherited the Mossad Operation from Robert Maxwell.

Which creates quite a problem and ressentment towards the USA when some of those policies fail spectatularly.

Not really. The way Mossad does blackmail is very efficient, since they also have influence on what the media can and can not reveal. And even if there was a whistleblower they would have been "got quiet" quite rapidly as the case with Epstein himself shows i.e. no cameras or witnesses.

There are many issues with that theory.
First of all, Oswald had to had an insane superhuman reflex ability to shot and reload the rifle in such short time. Second, there's the problem of bullets coming from different angles ( even with JFK limo in movement ) , which means that Oswald had to somehow teletransport to different locations to shoot. Third, there is the problem of where did Oswald got the ammo, since it was a 6.5x52 mm ammo with a round tip commonly used for infantry, and there is no record of where he got that ammo, since he didn't got it from a local provider.
