@taylan trve, but to be real here these grifters were so successful because they filled a vacuum. Lower class and unattractive men taking major Ls is nothing new and has been happening for decades now, and men in power or privilege did nothing to provide solutions. I think solving the male polycrysis (addiction + porn, loss of economic future, loneliness, toxic femininity in schools + psychotherapy, mental health, etc.) is men's responsibility. However instead fathers and professional managerial class men did absolutely nothing to fix anything and instead were busy virtue simp-nalling to upper middle class girlbosses (that's why I'm not fond of "anti-feminism" as men barely cooperate outside of strict hierarchies with no safety nets). The height of that fake and performative game is pointing fingers to these podcastbros and convicted sex traffickers and waving the finger at how we all need to individually signal how they are so heccin bad while ignoring all the reasons they got there in the first place.
The thing is now that feminism is a bureaucratic and moral imparative (at least its privileged upper class forms like liberal and queer/intersectional feminism) the narrative around this issue is "Men suffer, Women most affected". This is institutionally backed by the liberal deep state (NGOs, media, liberal left activists, academia, etc.) which is now increasingly framing men who don't have sex as a homogenous ISIS equivalent that can only be helped with fed supervision, further social isolation and censoring the internet even more. It's repression for repressions sake, disinterested in solutions, it's the "ICK" taken to institutionalized levels.
And it is a moral panic because the danger in question is comparatively small to others (far right and islamic terrorism, rising crime, etc.)
