@whirly you're probably best off finding a priest and talking to him and he'll probably walk you through everything you need to do.

@whirly they're around in the church or the church office during open hours usually. honestly if you just show up when they're open there's always people there who are willing to help you out. at least in my experience with the catholic church anyway.

@earthling @whirly in protestant churches at least you can just walk in as a total stranger and take a seat

@whirly yeah, i was a bit shy, at first, so God gave me a helping hand and just happened to meet by a very a Devout Pensioner who was only happy to help me.

just enter, and try to do as the others do, afterwards you can usually talk to the priest afterwards, depending on they might just stand in front of the gate greeting everyone afterwards, and you can talk to him.

very likely you will be noticed, and you can explain your situation, don't be scared, they love seeing a new face, and if you just tell them that it's your first time, they will be VERY happy to help you get started.

@RustyCrab @earthling @whirly You can just walk into a catholic church and take a seat too. Not supposed to take mass if you aren't catholic though. Just stay seated when people go up to take mass. Not a big deal at all.
