@snacks @mia likely not edible imo as that specific book deals with edible. I’ve another book I obtained recently on mushrooms but I’d have to dig it

Without seeing the underside properly, it can be difficult to identify accurately as a lot of the difference is down to the gills and texture

Turkey tail is paper thin, has a hairy surface (like the nap on a pool table, not waxy), has pin-hole sized pores on it's underside (not teeth or gills). The underside is stark white (or slightly yellow/tan as it ages), and the individual fruiting bodies only get to be at most 2-3" across (albeit appearing in clusters).
