I think fantasizing about two girls kissing is less weird than this top selling ebook on Kindle, which makes women fantasize about having a different husband.

@kaia @paula8 Now that one is weird... what are they trying to imply here?

@sim @paula8 being into yuri or yaoi is not more degenerate than the romantic history novels that my mum reads ChenShrug

manga only becomes an issue where it changes the taste of the reader over time to become incompatible with reality or perverse, e.g. guro. we see this tendency to seek the extreme a lot in our hedonist society where there are few societal constraints telling you to stop. therefore a girl merely gushing over boys kissing is so much better than the vast majority of trends today that involving altering your body and mind, often permanently, to the worse.

@kaia @paula8 @sim don't let your children watch hellsing or they're gonna think eating someone is the most romantic thing ever

@kaia @paula8 I would agree. It's not as bad as altering your mind and body.

I will say though, that shipping does become an issue when you stop being able to distinguish between reality and fiction. When you take it to the next level of shipping celebrities from the shows you like. Or use shipping fandoms as a way to basically bully anyone who doesn't agree with your ship. It can get nasty quickly. I don't see anything wrong with liking the idea of two men or two women kissing. Men and women like this. It's double of what you like. As long as it remains in fantasy/fiction.
