Has anyone got any good recommendations for Switch 1 games? I wanna expand my library a bit!

@dagda I'm interested in the game, but I've never played Xenoblade (or Saga actually, just Gears.) I did watch wifey play it a bit but I'm not very familiar. Would the game still make sense to me?

Xenoblade X is canonically parallel (as in a chronologically parallel universe to Xenoblade 1,2,3 as the world is a multiverse) so you can either start with the trilogy or X but it's no difference whatsoever and the timelines don't directly intersect. You won't miss anything if you play it standalone

@dagda Thank you! It's honestly the Xenoblade game that interests me the most, so I might just skip to it.

Have you played Gears or Saga?

Nah I wanted to emulate Gears on new 3DS but I got different opinions on the performance quality. It's on my backlog tho, maybe I just need to tinker with the settings a bit and run latest swanstation

I played Xenoblade 1 on new 3DS back then, and compared to that Xeno X is much more mature in terms of gameplay and design. Played both on Wii U (til credits) and Switch (100%). So you won't spoil story but maybe enjoyment in terms of gameplay lol.
Which barely matters because Monolith does extended Remasters every 10 years anyway

@dagda They don't seem to care about X for some reason, lol.

I hope you do play Gears, it's fucking amazing.

They don't care about X because it sold badly (including the Remaster, so it's impressive that they even did it in the first place).
Sad to see, so called hardcore gamers asking for games that exclude the modern audience - until they actually have the option to play them and completely ignore it
