@mia @scathach I mean they'd give up abusing my site if it I just shut it down or put up 20 different usage policies/restrictions/whatever.
I am very militant about not punishing legitimate users because some assholes abuse a good thing. Thus I spend my time with hashcat and bash rather than with /24's.
It's also probably why I can measure my bandwidth in petabytes.

mia@shrimptest.0x0.st@7666 @scathach yeah. i restrict because my budget is limited and so is my energy. so i do what i can to detract certain types of users because they will directly or indirectly cause headaches.
there are other hosters and other 0x0 instances people can go to, and if none of them permit whatever they’re trying to share then that’s almost certainly a good thing. plus i don’t like having too many eggs in the same basket.

@mia @scathach Yes but this business is nasty and lends itself to centralization to a select few who can handle it, and generally anyone who tries to follow in their footsteps take after their creators.
I'm not saying you're responsible for the actions of other 0x0 clones, but I'd wager there are none anywhere near your scale, especially considering there is really only two remaining Pomf-style clones out there, myself and Catbox, and Pomf had way more decentralization at first.
