you can’t demand things from the past, but right now you have the agency to change what your future looks like

@yew @paula8 also i disagree. being a child should be nice. you had a right to a good childhood that you were denied by the people who were supposed to raise you but have instead emotionally neglected and abused you since before you could speak. the people you depended on as role models instead only taught you how to feel like a worthless burden who can’t do anything right.

i think this is important to internalize because there’s a healthy degree of anger you can cultivate to help you strengthen your self-worth and feel like you deserve good things more often
