If you give cells only a certain amount of mitosis events they can't just spread like crazy and hog all resources. Afaik basically all tumorrous cancers completely stop their aging and ig that's because they can't really get tumorous without

@snacks could be. you would have to ask why infinite lifespan animals/lifeforms don't get excessive amounts of cancer, which would be interesting to know

@lebronjames75 there's barely any multicellular life that doesn't age i think? And cancer isn't really a concept for single celled organisms.
