It is not so sad. Have fun in the moment with people you like, and you will reminisce fondly on it in the future. So long as it does not end on bad terms, those interactions are something you'll hold dear for life, no matter how small or trivial.
One day, nobody will remember who you are, your friends, your immediate family or even the distant lineage of your family. That goes for everyone.
What matters is the people you influence, and the people who influence you. Maybe one day Mozart will be forgotten, but his impact on music will be tangible forever. Losing a friend is almost inevitable, but if you had fun together with them, they'll be in your heart forever.
