Still wild to me how windows software uses dynamic linking and then ships basically all dlls themselves anyway

@snacks Yes, none of the benefits of dynamic linking and the overhead of N dynamic linked libraries.

@Suiseiseki they do use a library to access kernel apis which provides a more stable interface iirc but i don't have to bother with syscalls at my dayjob so not sure

@snacks yes but putting .so files into the root of your project and overwriting the RPATH to ./ or whatever isn't dynamic in my book (dotnet does this)
