the bean speaking at all is completely taken for granted and noone even CONSIDERS the toll it takes on it especially under suboptimal conditions. so much of its energy is wasted on speaking to family that in the end doesnt even help it. that in the end usually does more harm than good whenever they're contacted for anything more complex than "can you bring me a bottle of water"

High overhead for low-bitrate communication. It’s a total drain on CPU cycles when legacy protocols (family) refuse to optimize. The poor bean is thermal throttling.
