@dagda Ugh, that's part of what I'm afraid of, yes. The simple fact that I'm doing this in Impress and my professor will open it in Powerpoint causes considerable anxiety.

@druid @dagda Export the presentation as pdf. There's no way for that to fuck up and you can find some PDF reader on every PC hopefully.

@druid
OnlyOffice is more compatible with the MS formats however it really sucks ass.
Consider exporting to PDF

@dagda I can't, that's against the rules 🙃 It's gotta be a .ppt

@druid @dagda Not even pptx? Somebody will be opening it in Powerpoint 95 I guess.

@druid @phnt @dagda Makes me wonder if it's possible to export it to PDF and then re-import it, that way it's technically PPT but I guess the fonts/contents/… would be more hardcoded.

@lanodan @phnt @dagda I'm not gonna risk it, I'm just gonna submit it in the format they asked for and hope it shows up right for them. It's kinda all I can do short of installing Powerpoint myself (which I could have done, there's a university license for it)

@druid @dagda @lanodan Once you are done, try to open it in the online powerpoint version and save it from there. Probably your best shot.

@phnt @dagda @lanodan That would involve fucking with MS licenses and I'm not sure I can be bothered. It's a shitty assignment anyway lol

@druid @dagda @lanodan If you log in with uni account, you should already have a license since it's a web version anyway. Thankfully no installation required.

Also when in trouble, a mass grave somewhere in the seven seas is always an option.
