The DS has a much, much better library of games, so DSi by default.

PSP titles had more of the "weaker PS2" game design, while DS was more or less fully committed to portable-friendly casual game designs and original concepts. PSP is better for emulation tho. Matter or preference imo

The PSP has terribly bad battery life, the thing burns away in months just keeping the clock running, and the strongest point for a handheld should be the battery life, the PSP was horrible at that. That being said I enjoyed it a lot back in the day despite that fact.

Not for GBA, hacked ROMs often fail to boot on PSP, they just work on DSi though, it might have to do with the fact that DS isn't exactly emulating GBA since the ISA is the same between both platforms.

Yeah, the PSP's battery life isn't great. The disc drive is also loud as hell. Honestly, the lack of a second stick makes most first or third person games on it suck. It still has a semi-decent library, especially for non-3D action games, like Visual Novels, Rhythm games, Puzzle games, etc.

I just think, as Dagda said, the fact that most DS games were ground up creations makes the games on there far better, as opposed to the crappy PS2 ports that plagued the PSP.
