Genuinely difficult to believe how bad this is. I thought maybe it would be easier to swallow if I just dumped some powder in my mouth and tried to wash it down with water real quick. Got very close to vomiting

It doesn't mix with water btw basically no matter what

@RustyCrab I mix my protein with milk and cocoa/cereal cawfee (Inka), along a spoon of honey and pinch of cinnamon. Maybe try it like that, it's pretty hearty drink this way. You can add nutmeg and more honey, if the taste is still not palpable. I also use it to wash down spirulina pills while at it (extra protein and microelements). cocoayummy

@RustyCrab @niobleoum probably because it's an egg white substitute, blender will only make foam out of it, bake the shit out of it instead, or become one with the cum

@i @niobleoum "I was born in the cum; molded by it" is a technically accurate statement"

@binkle unironically it needs to be something like this where I can trap it and can't taste it even if it means putting it in pill form. I naively thought it would taste like eggs but it's absolutely nothing at all like eggs. Its like a mixture of salt and mustard gas what the fuck

@RustyCrab I’m not a big fan of unflavored protein powder in general, but for Christ’s sake at least buy yourself a shaker cup.

@RustyCrab @binkle the equipment to fill digestible capsules with redacted is cheap and readily available on scamazon. I don't know what its technically called but we have a set that has served us well over the years.

@prettygood @binkle I'll look at doing that. Its just a matter of justifying the cost of whatever. I dont want to spend too much on something I'll never use again

@RustyCrab @binkle yeah no its a couple of pieces of plastic kit that are spaced specifically to hold the capsules and then you can fill and cap them en masse. Its a little fiddly at first but its a cheap option.

@prettygood @RustyCrab @binkle you can buy empty capsules from Amazon but there are slightly more reputable merchants out there. I forget where I got mine but this is their actual legitimate use so supplement stores will definitely have them. I recommend 000 capsules for bulky stuff and an actual capsule press over the stupid spoon (you can get them smaller but this was the first google result) https://cecle.net/products/100-holes-capsule-filler-00-0-1-capsule-filling-machine-plate-tool-food-grade

@sapphire @binkle @prettygood natural grocers has stuff for making your own supplement pills. I'll swing by there first to check how much they are.

@RustyCrab @binkle @prettygood I think I paid $30 for my capsule press and lime $50 for 1000 size 000 gelatin capsules

@sapphire @binkle @prettygood yeah I know its not expensive but keep in mind I will literally never use this for anything again. $10 would be a hard price to justify

@RustyCrab @niobleoum >eggwhite protain.
nigga isent that just powdered eggwhites?
look up your local baker supply, pretty sure that shit you bought is the exact same stuff thats used in bakerys but 10x the price.
also buying full egg powder from those suppliers is pretty damn usefull because it holds forever, i still use the bags i got from by 2020 coof prep and they are the exect same as when i bought them.

@RustyCrab @niobleoum the question stands out how you'd know what that tastes like, but I'm going to skip that.

Why are you doing just egg whites?

@sickburnbro @niobleoum look its hard to explain but if you ate this you would instantly say to yourself with no background knowledge "YEAH THATS WHAT WHALE CUM TASTES LIKE" I CHALLENGE YOU TO NOT COME TO THE SAME CONCLUSION

the store was out of every other trustworthy brand that doesn't come up red hot for heavy metal poisoning thats why I got this.

@i @RustyCrab @binkle @prettygood I mean I’m struggling to see the premise of eating concentrated powdered ass when eggs also have egg protein and taste good

@IAMAL_PHARIUS @RustyCrab @niobleoum no, its 100% egg with nothing else.
bakers grade.

@Some_German_Guy @niobleoum @IAMAL_PHARIUS eggs have BCAAs and they're unnecessary to supplement anyway. I got these because there wasn't any other good option at the time

@RustyCrab @binkle I once bought sunflower seeds & olives paste, thinking it should taste good on sandwiches, but it didn't taste like either of the ingredients, more like rancid motor oil with this bitter-tart aftertaste that can't be found in any of the consitutents. I hate throwing food away, but it was way too impalpable. cocoasqueamish

@niobleoum @RustyCrab @binkle I would think olive paste would overpower sunflower seeds

@Some_German_Guy @IAMAL_PHARIUS @RustyCrab @niobleoum im pretty sure powdered egg whites have a solid amount BCAAs in them (well, all amino acids in general https://fitaudit.com/food/190068/amino)

@karna @niobleoum @IAMAL_PHARIUS @Some_German_Guy yeah I did some other research and like most other bro science they're largely a meme. Creatine supplementation seems to be legit though

@AsukaNeko @RustyCrab @binkle I thought it would taste somehow similar to hummus, but with clear olives note. It was closer to raw tahini, if anything, but awful on all accounts.

@RustyCrab @niobleoum @IAMAL_PHARIUS @Some_German_Guy bro did unnecessary research and lost placebo gains. more seriously though, yeah its kind of a meme - as long as you get enough of a complete amino acid profile in someway you generally dont need extra supps. creatine is also hit or miss for some people, i get a minor benefit from it but it is very marginal. if any of these these made a non-marginal difference they would get classified as PEDs

@RustyCrab @IAMAL_PHARIUS @Some_German_Guy @karna Creatine supplementation is perfectly sound, even if you are not athletic - it apparently boost short term memory, can improve sleep and possibly delay onset of age-related diseases. It has rather neutral taste as well. cocoanice

@karna @niobleoum @IAMAL_PHARIUS @Some_German_Guy I do find creatine helps if only to get a couple extra reps in. It's much cheaper than eating 2 pounds of steak a day

@niobleoum @IAMAL_PHARIUS @Some_German_Guy @karna some dude on here made creatine sound like some disgusting cursed substance. It's literally the most neutral and tasteless thing ive ever injested. I just put a raw scoop of it in my mouth right now (pending water)

@RustyCrab @niobleoum @IAMAL_PHARIUS @Some_German_Guy thats fair and while i still count that as marginal, that doesnt stop me from using it either

@RustyCrab @karna @niobleoum @IAMAL_PHARIUS are they still putting it into energy drinks?
pretty sure i remember creatine being on the ingredient list of monster.
though it has been years since i last drank one so i might miss remember.
