If the developers had called it X12 instead of Wayland, everyone would probably have rushed to upgrade immediately. That is a slight exaggeration, but it show how irrational the resistance to Wayland is. Some people seem to go out of their way to avoid using it.

@foxhkron That was a thing before it was decided that doing things completely differently than everyone else for a decade to be usable was the better option.
