@twinspin6 @lebronjames75 i do not know what's special about european connectors but if you use one of those cheap heaters it can happen (i've seen it happen and they called me for an emergency fix)

outlets that will not be in use may be condemned to both kids proof and prevent dust buildup or pests nesting
usually not with a screwed in plate but if you're doing these things it's not that much more work to do tbh
