Unless it actively gets in the way of your general functioning (breathing, seeing, etc.) , doctors will wait until you’ve generally finished growing to remove a birthmark. I had a vascular haemangiomic nevus as wide as my hand on the right side of my face due to a genetic (FOXC2 + PIK3CA) issue (think Agatha from “The Grand Budapest Hotel” but raised instead of flat) until I had 3 vascular facial surgeries to remove it the summer I was 15 + 1 scar revision a yr later.

@analgesicsleep I once saw a camgirl that had a birthmark (or is Liver Spot the word for it..?) - anyway, it covered like half of her upper body - i told her it was very becoming, BECAUSE IT WAS...first time i saw something of that covering so much of the body..
