@AngelCelt @nuukaset season 1 his marketing as an outsider was successful, the DNC fucked over bernie and trump inherited a lot of protest votes, and the containment crew preventing him from being able to do anything did help sell the "q" narrative that he's trying hard to save the country and just keeps getting sabotaged. but then over the course of it he refused to pardon people the system didn't like, did the jan 6 thing and abandoned his followers in jail, so even trump train folk kind of saw him just go up in flames.

it turns out the economic boom was just that the federal government is such a malignant tumor that being incapable of functioning actually makes the country do better.

season 2's election season was not high energy at all. everyone i know is beyond done with the man except for the christofascist aligned ones.

@icedquinn @nuukaset

The whole Trump phenomenon is so bizarre for me to look back at. In retrospect a lot of the Trump myth around the Alt Right especially was (unintentional?) predictive programming.

The Alt Right was engineered as a radical sub-coalition, to some extent deliberately by Steve Bannon (Epstein Files confirmed this) to integrate younger people into the Republican voter base. Antisemitism was an easy catalyst to unify populists.

But before Trump, the Jewish lobby wasn't *that* powerful. Or at least, it was one powerful interest group among many. Even former Republicans tried to push a 2 state Palestine solution, didn't move the embassy, didnt antagonize Iran directly.

It was the Trump admin that gave unrestrained leeway to Israel's military ambitions and facilitated the sale of half our media companies to powerful American Zionists. The old Neocons have mostly been against Trump on this.

The Alt Right CREATED total semitic dominance.

Life is a funny thing.

@AngelCelt @nuukaset i mean. Harris didn't run a campaign.

She utterly failed in her primary, got bailed out by Biden for clout, and ran a campaign of "I'm not trump!" while trump ran the good ole "its not your fault everything sucks i'll make it better."

from a purely game playing perspective she sucked and nobody liked her. <30% approval when she ran alone said that.

trump was never beaten by widely hated women that were installed by shenanigans. he did lose to a primaried candidate though.

@AngelCelt @nuukaset > But before Trump, the Jewish lobby wasn't *that* powerful. Or at least, it was one powerful interest group among many.

AIPAC was bragging about having picked like 90% of congressman. ADL commits overt crimes, gets caught, and never prosecuted. Israel's tendrils are deep and strong. They find it useful to conflate criticizing this with anti-semetism, but americanized jews don't like being spoken for by sociopaths.

@AngelCelt @nuukaset i would had to have seen a decent resolution to the brady violation allegations from the past. i'd consider ethical violations of that scale permanently disqualifying.
