@mia pretty sure the borrow checker isn't to blame? At least in c# it doesn't blow up compile times

@snacks yeah but what else is rust even good for
the ecosystem is a disaster, the code is otherwise just as buggy as everything else, and it just wastes a lot of dev time for no good reason

@snacks all it seems to achieve is using the hype to supply corpos with a stream of MIT-licensed code because of course everything has to be rewritten

@mia haskell-ish type masturbation with more familiar syntax i guess. Or a smug sense of superiority because your program is blazingly fast and fearlessly concurrent (even tho concurrency is pretty much the most common complaint i hear from people who like it)
