@whirly imessage in the us and whatsapp in europe for normies. Nerds usually are on xmpp, matrix, irc or on discord with their gaymer bros (actually, discord seems to be the grand unifier between normies, nerds and conspirancy nuts)

@snacks @whirly iMessage isn’t really something you use, it’s just you own an iPhone and maybe a MacBook and a buncha other people own an iPhone so some conversations default to it
