equipment bloat is kind of a horseshoe thing in tech

boomer grandma (Gertrude):
"I have 1 monitor from 20 years ago and 1 program open usually"

tech enthusiast (LTT type people):
"I have 7 monitors with 4k, blue light filter, 900fps refresh rate, fooscaling, bartracing.."

tech wizard (Torvalds, Dave Plummer, C wizards):
""I have 1 monitor from 20 years ago and 1 program open usually"

@dagda it's really about the task at hand
like i usually perform only one thing at a time and frequently do "garbage collection" by closing unneeded windows
when there's research or something similar it does branch out to many windows but they all have a purpose so to say

but if you wanna monitor multiple things at once or switch entire workflows frequently multiple monitors make sense
