single mqtt router deployed somewhere centrally and then just a bunch of esp8266 boards scattered around the home to control things/measure data is just peak, did that a lot at my parents place

@rose @mia i don’t know anything about hardware because tinkering with that stuff is kinda expensive

@rose @yew @mia last time i tried working with an esp i couldn't even get rtos to build, but that was an esp32 iirc
