Right. I absolutely WILL play video games today, no matter how hot it is.

@druid
tried out Call of Juarez Gunslinger but the gyro aim is broken on Switch, I'll play it on PC sometime.
So I'm now busy with Wonder Boy: The Dragons Trap.
The weather FUCKING SUCKS

@dagda I've never played a Wonder Boy game! I should.

I resorted to playing Skyrim. What a dull game it is a lot of the time...

for a Master System game it aged quite well. I don't know if the source code was directly ported but if you toggle off the modern handdrawn graphics it looks and behaves exactly like in the 80's (at least it feels like it I'm not that old). Toggle on and you got a platformer that looks modern but plays unapologetically retro. As far as metroidvanias go it's much closer to NES metroid than Castlevania Symphony of the Night or the GBA metroids. However I think the handdrawn graphics are quite decent because they help you not get lost (navigation is often awful in these more retro metroidvanias because everything looks exactly the same)

@dagda I didn't know the dragons trap was a metroidvania! I only ever tried playing the original Wonder Boy, which is a straight platformer (and a hard one) that plays like an Adventure Island game. I have 4 on the PS3 I think, the one with the girl.... But I've never played it.
