You would think that people would have figured out ways to effectively distribute terabytes of mod content cheaply with a simple frontend and mod manager, but no. Implementing a torrent tracker and a manager for it is too difficult for any modder.

Same with game updates, just distribute the updates over a P2P network. There's been many game clients that did that for years and barely anybody complained about it.
