It's a market problem, namely being a market of 1 with a totally insular hobby. You need to branch out and find related yet social version of computing. Like a bonsai club or something.

I would only not look on the fedi because inevitably it would be an ldr and I have a personal policy against those (some exceptions but not realistic ones).
