like literally i am terrified. like abjectly "i need fusion research to go somewhere right the fuck now or i might as well kill myself in the near future to spare me of the rest" terrified and i cant even talk to anyone about it because everyone is too fucking absorbed in their own bullshit to keep an eye on it anymore

im not going to do that until like its provable though. got maybe another decade in me and thats purely to watch the trajectory of proxima fusion. there *is* also an american venture thats allegedly supposed to make a big breakthrough soon but they have both less funding and experience in the field
